Last weekend, me and my girls went on a road trip to Paris. We’d been planning the trip since aaaggeess! However we managed to escape from cruel and rainy Amsterdam for a couple of days. Since it was a budget trip, what we did were all budget-proof. We ate breakfast and lunch at cheap restaurants/cafe in Latin Quarter..(but really amazed with the taste..so good!), and walked around the city to all touristy spots by foot, like :
Stopped by Laduree, to buy some macarons for us and for my boyfriend (gosh they’re so expensive but oh-so delicious). We had to wait for almost 45 minutes to get those pastries..since there was this looonng line ahead of us. After that we went to the coffee-house next door, and found ourselves paying almost 20 euro for 3 cups of mini cappuccino! Oh well, it’s Champs-Elyssees, so it was forgiven! haha.I think that hour on Champs-Elyssees was our biggest expense!
Then in the evening we went up to Montmarte, climbed what felt like 10,000 stairs and enjoyed the amazing view of Paris from up there and then followed by eating in a very old Italian restaurant…So cozy!
Thereafter we took metro and went back to our tiny but cozy hotel downtown, prepared ourselves for the journey back by (rented) car. The trip was really nice. To be with girls only and felt at ease with them, chatted about everything and being goofy among us, was priceless. I really had the best weekend with them .. This was my second visit to Paris but I still couldn’t get enough of it..Paris, I promise I’ll come back (soon) !
